Installation Method And Precautions of Water Pump Mechanical Seal

1. Installation method

1. First loosen the bolts of the water pump, remove the pump cover, impeller and bearing seat in turn, and separate the bearing seat from the water pump.

2. Put the sealing ring on the shaft neck by hand, put the dynamic ring on the shaft, and then install the static ring on the bearing cover, making sure that the shaft neck and the mounting hole of the mechanical seal are completely matched.

3. Combine the bearing cover and the bearing seat and fix them with bolts.

4. Reinstall the pump cover, impeller and all bolts. When tightening, pay attention to evenly distribute the torque in turn, and do not overtighten or over-loosen.

5. Slowly add water to the pump housing and check whether the pump is operating normally. If there is any abnormality, shut down the pump and check it in time.

2. Precautions

1. Before installing the mechanical seal, make sure that there is no oil and other contaminants on the shaft, otherwise it will affect the sealing effect of the mechanical seal.

2. In terms of lubrication, choose a suitable lubricating oil or grease. Lubricating oil that is not environmentally friendly and easy to generate acid and alkali liquids cannot be used.

3. The two face seals of the mechanical seal must not rotate, otherwise it will cause leakage of the pump.

4. Looseness of related parts and low sealing quality of mechanical seals will cause leakage or imbalance of the pump, and measures should be taken in time to deal with it.

5. Carefully check the model before installation. Check whether the impeller, bearing, pump body, and sealing device are matched to avoid incompatibility.
