• Heat-Treated Faces: We use Sintered Silicon Carbide faces which have superior thermal conductivity, pulling heat away from the sensitive O-rings to extend their life.
• Anti-Extrusion Design: Includes backup rings or specially designed grooves to prevent the O-ring from extruding under high pressure when the rubber softens at heat.
Key Features
• High-Heat Elastomers: Specifically configured with high-performance O-rings like FKM (Viton®), AFLAS®, or FFKM to survive in pumps operating above 150°C.
• Thermal Stability: The seal design includes increased clearances to accommodate the thermal expansion of metal parts at high temperatures without binding.
• Hot Water & Steam Ready: When equipped with peroxide-cured EPDM or AFLAS, these seals resist the steam / hot water attack that degrades standard nitrile rubber.

Case Study
District Heating: A district heating network faced seal failures every winter due to 140°C water. We supplied this seal with AFLAS O-rings. The specialized rubber withstood the hot water and steam, lasting through the entire heating season.
Testimonials
Standard Viton failed in our steam condensate lines. These high-temp rubber seals held up. Great technical advice on material selection.

FAQs about Metal Bellows Seals for High Temperature Pumps
Q: Is FKM (Viton) good for steam?
A: Generally, no. Standard FKM hydrolyzes (breaks down) in steam. For hot water/steam above 120°C, we recommend AFLAS® or EPDM. FKM is better for hot oil.

Our company is specialized in the production of sealing materials, mechanical seals , cartridge seals.
