• Dual Safety: A tandem or back-to-back arrangement utilizing the robust John crane type 1 drive architecture but upgraded with PTFE wedges for chemical service.

• Heavy Duty Spring: The large non-clogging coil spring of the John crane type 1 mechanical seal ensures reliable operation even in viscous chemical slurries.

• Barrier Fluid Compatible: Designed to work with API Plan 52 or 53 systems to provide lubrication and cooling.

• Self-Aligning: The Type 1's full-convolution design (modified for wedge) retains excellent self-alignment capabilities, handling shaft deflection better than standard wedge seals.

• Custom Gland: Supplied with a custom-machined gland plate to house the dual seal assembly within standard pump dimensions.
