Q: Do I need an external reservoir tank for this seal?
A: Yes, a double-acting seal typically requires an API Plan 52 (unpressurized) or Plan 53A (pressurized) reservoir system. This tank supplies the barrier fluid that lubricates the seal faces and carries away heat. We can supply the complete package including the tank and instrumentation.
