Mechanical seals are precision parts, and the manufacturing and installation precision requirements of the equipment are very strict. Improper assembly will affect the sealing performance. The following points must be noted for correct installation:

1. Requirements for the reactor and the matching parts of the mechanical seal:

① The manufacturing tolerance of the shaft where the mechanical seal is installed is h8, indicating a roughness of 1.6um2. The shaft or sleeve end where the mechanical seal is installed should be chamfered and polished.

② The axial movement of the stirring shaft is less than 0.3mm, and the axial swing is less than Vd/100 (d is the shaft diameter) mm (measured at the mechanical seal):

③ The vertical angle between the stirring shaft and the kettle flange is not greater than 0.5mm, and the concentricity between the stirring shaft and the kettle flange stop is not greater than 0.5mm;

④ The service life of the mechanical seal is based on the premise that the equipment meets the above conditions, the equipment operating conditions meet the use parameters of the mechanical seal, and the daily maintenance is correct.

2. Installation requirements for mechanical seals for kettles

① Design requirements for the symbol drawings of each part in the component.

② There should be a 3-5mm gap between the dynamic ring seal and the dynamic ring seal cavity of the balanced mechanical seal.

③ When installing the static ring, the end face needs to be aligned with a dry gauge and ensure that the end face is vertical to the axis line with an allowable error of 0.05mm.

④ The compression of the spring is allowed to have an error of ±0.2mm according to the requirements of the drawing.

5 After installation, loosen the positioning card nut before driving.

⑥ After the mechanical seal is installed, it should be run in an empty car for more than 24 hours.

⑦ When reliable protective measures are not taken, the mechanical seal for the reactor is prohibited from being assembled on the reactor for transportation.
