Installation & Replacement Guide (Quick Reference)

Tools needed: Phillips screwdriver, adjustable wrench, silicone lubricant (for O-ring only), clean cloth

Step-by-step:

1. Disconnect power — Always shut off the breaker before servicing the pump.

2. Drain the pump — Remove drain plugs and let water out completely.

3. Remove pump housing — Unbolt the volute/diffuser to access the impeller and old seal.

4. Extract old seal — Carefully pull the rotating assembly off the shaft. Use a pick tool if stuck — avoid scratching the shaft surface.

5. Clean shaft & seal cavity — Wipe away all scale, rust, and old gasket residue. A smooth shaft surface is essential for bellows seal performance.

6. Install new seal — Apply a thin film of silicone lubricant to the rubber O-ring ONLY. Push the stationary seat into the rear cavity by hand. Slide the bellows assembly onto the shaft — ensure the carbon face is perfectly flat against the ceramic seat.

7. Reassemble pump — Reinstall impeller, volute, and bolts. Torque evenly to manufacturer specification.

8. Leak test — Fill pump with water, turn on power briefly (2–3 seconds), check for drips. Repeat 2–3 times until steady flow.
