Q: Can ceramic handle the vibration of a mixer?

A: Ceramic is strong but brittle. Our design uses heavy-duty O-rings to "float" the ceramic seat, absorbing the vibrations and preventing cracking. For extreme vibration, Silicon Carbide is recommended.

Q: Why are alumina ceramic faces preferred over carbon graphite for mixer mechanical seals in abrasive or slurry applications?

A: High-purity Al₂O₃ ceramic faces offer superior hardness and wear resistance compared to carbon graphite, making them ideal for ceramic mechanical seals handling abrasive slurries, crystallizing media or viscous batches in food, pharmaceutical and chemical mixers. They resist scoring from suspended particles and maintain a stable leakage rate over extended service intervals.

Q: How does the double O-ring mounted design benefit a mixer mechanical seal operating with shaft runout or wobble?

A: Top-entry and side-entry mixers commonly experience shaft deflection, vibration and wobble during batch agitation. Our mixer mechanical seal uses double O-ring mounted stationary seats that flex and self-align with shaft movement, absorbing runout up to ±0.5 mm without compromising the seal face contact—preventing premature face fracture and extending seal life.

Q: Can MIAOYU O-ring ceramic mechanical seals handle dry-run conditions during mixer startup or tank emptying?
